Screencap Recap #92

Bodhi Hayward vs Von Wagner - WWE NXT 2.0 Griffin Kody vs Bison (Vertex Video Wrestling) Brady Booker vs Dak Draper - AEW Dark #184 It's been a while since my last "song of the week" and I'm feeling in a romantic mood, so I've decided to pick 4 songs today. 1. Overture (aka Ilia's Theme) from Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Jerry Goldsmith Honestly, I think the movie is a bit boring but it has a beautiful soundtrack. This song plays over an empty sky before the credits begin. 2. Butterflies -  Michael Jackson This is one of MJ's most romantic songs and in my opinion, one of his best. It should've been a bigger hit. 3. Woman (Stripped Down Mix) - John Lennon I like the original version but I think it's a bit over-produced. In this version, there's only the essential instruments and Lennon's voice, front and center. Bonus Track - Sweet Love (Anita Baker cover) by Funsho. The original version is a classic, but I may prefer this acoustic g...

Brady Booker vs Dak Draper: Part 1 (AEW)

Brady Booker (formerly known as Bodhi Hayward) makes his AEW debut in this match against the strapping Dak Draper. Brady was released from WWE last November and is looking to impress the AEW brass with a good performance here. Brady comes out with  enthusiasm a big smile, letting us know that he's the babyface. Dak looks on unimpressed and then shows off his muscles. Like Brady, Dak began his career at WWE NXT. He was there from 2012-14. Since then, he's wrestled at ROH, NWA and other indies. Brady tries to pump up the small, somewhat jaded crowd but Dak yells out, "Nobody cares!" The match starts with a strong lock up. Neither wrestler has the advantage, so they push off. They lock up again and Brady quickly snatches Dak in a headlock. Dak reverses into a headsscissor but Brady quickly kicks out of it. We're only a minute in and both wrestlers seem evenly matched. Who's going to take the advantage?

Bodhi Hayward vs Von Wagner: Part 3 (Mega Post)

Bodhi had just got a near fall with a sunset flip and followed up with a leaping forearm. Bodhi attempts a cross bodyblock but Von catches him and turns it into a fall away slam. Bodhi crawls to the ropes and Von yanks on Bodhi's ponytail to stretch his neck against the ropes. Von pauses for a moment and talks to the referee, allowing Bodhi to catch his breath. Bodhi fights back with a boot to the gut and a forearm to the face. Von misses a running boot to the corner, allowing Bodhi to get into a three point stance. Bodhi chop blocks Von's knee and follows up with a shoulder block and a big splash. Bodhi's pumped and on a roll. Bodhi scoops up Von for a power slam but Von slips out and drives Bodhi's head into the turnbuckle. Von picks up Bodhi and executes a twisting Samoan Drop. That's enough to keep Bodhi down for the count. This was a short but sweet brawl, executed with good energy. You can see the full match here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0r7LMfm0yA...
