Drew Harper scissors Cody Blayde (Weekend Wrestling)

Drew Harper vs Cody Blayde (Weekend Wrestling) Who doesn't love headscissors? Apparently Cody, who's getting his neck crushed. Although his bulge might suggest otherwise. I like the gear as well, kudos to whoever thought of it. I could definitely see Drew as a football jock. This was a well executed, high energy match. See my original review here.

Jake Jenkins and the Art of Selling (RHW)

Matt Engel vs Jake Jenkins (Rock Hard Wrestling) If you look at Matt Engel's anklelock, you'll see he's not really applying any pressure at all. He's just hugging Jake's ankle. If you look at Jake, you'd think he's in agony. This is a textbook example of "selling" in pro wrestling.  Guys who understand selling like Jake don't come along too often, so I thought I'd celebrate him today. See my original review here.

Brute's got Cason on the ropes (Thunders Arena)

Brute vs Cason: Ring Wars 62 (Thunders Arena) Cason's hot body is on display as Brute tortures him on the ropes. The camerawork in this sequence is as good as it gets for underground wrestling. See my original review here.

Nick Collins and Gunner Bayani wristlock each other (RHW)

If you watch this match between Nick and Gunner, a couple things will become obvious pretty quickly. Gunner clearly knows his pro wrestling and Nick has amateur wrestling and MMA skills. They meshed reasonably well. After making some changes to their website in 2020 / early 2021, Rock Hard Wrestling has been inactive. Here's hoping they'll continue upgrading their old videos. See my original review here.

AJ Styles vs Grayson Waller: Part 3 (WWE)

Grayson had just hit a big elbow drop on AJ and is looking to finish him off. Grayson attempts a running splash but AJ moved. AJ went for German suplex but Grayson blocked it so AJ maneuvered Grayson into a Calf Crusher. Grayson cries out in pain but eventually makes it to the ropes. AJ attempts a kneebreaker but Grayson counters into a sunset flip for a near fall. Grayson gets another near fall with a spinebuster and then attempts to beat AJ with his own move, The Styles Clash. Grayson takes too long and AJ backdrops Grayson to escape. AJ attempts a springboard but Grayson slides out of the way and executes a leaping Stunner for a close near fall. There's a little more back and forth action. Grayson attempts a top rope superplex but AJ escapes. AJ attempts a Styles Clash but Grayson escapes. AJ counters with a Pele kick. AJ delivers a brain buster which leaves Grayson dazed. This time, AJ is able to hit the phenomenal forearm and put Grayson down for the count. To me, this was Gra

AJ Styles vs Grayson Waller: Part 2 (WWE)

At the end of the last post, AJ seemed to have Greyson reeling. AJ continues his offensive with a leaping clothesline and then follows with a neckbreaker variation. AJ goes for the pin but Grayson kicks out. Grayson's dazed, so AJ goes for a Styles clash but Grayson escapes to the ropes. AJ filps Grayson over the ropes and then flattens him with another diving forearm smash. AJ rolls Grayson into the ring and attempts a springboard but Grayson rolls to the apron. Grayson catches AJ as he approaches and snaps his neck across the top rope. Grayson knocks down AJ with a big forearm and then delivers a leaping elbow drop off the middle rope. Grayson goes for the pin but only gets a 2 count. Grayson has turned the momentum in his favor. Can he pull off the upset?

AJ Styles vs Grayson Waller: Part 1 (WWE)

Cocky Aussie upstart Grayson Waller looks to make a name for himself at the expense of AJ Styles in this match from WWE NXT 2.0. I pick up a couple minutes in. After a little back and forth action, AJ catches Grayson charging at him and turns it into a backbreaker. AJ slams Grayson and delivers a high kneedrop for a near fall. AJ knocks Grayson out the ring with a dropkick. AJ tries to follow Grayson out of the ring but Grayson sweeps his leg. Grayson follows up with a painful looking rope assisted neckbreaker. Grayson nailed AJ with a stiff clothesline and then poses for the crowd as we went to break (see the top photo).  Back from the break, we pick up with more back and forth action. Grayson lifts AJ up into a firemans carry but AJ slips out. AJ went on an offensive flurry, nailing Grayson with a clothesline of his own. AJ follows up with a diving forearm which leaves Grayson dazed. AJ looks to have the momentum in his favor. Can he finish Grayson off?
