WR's Screencaps

Bjorn vs Jim Ratt (Wrestler4Hire) Punishment By Biceps - King Romeo WR vs Jonny Firestorm My "song of the week" is Don't Fly Away by Elvis Presley (remixed by PNAU). This song played over the end credits of EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert . Don't Fly Away is mash up of Suspicious Minds and Any Day Now . If you remember Cold Heart ,  which was also remixed by PNAU, the style is quite similar.

Beastyboy vs Tyler French: How Low Can You Go? (88Wrestling) Mason Brooks vs ?: Gym Socks & Hard Cocks Dimitri Darkthorn vs Gabe Steele (W4H) My "song of the week" is Land of Hopes and Dreams by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. The song was inspired by The Impressions song People Get Ready .  Springsteen and his band add a rock twist and elevate it with an epic performance. If you want to see the full concert, see the playlist below. It's a great, high energy show. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIveWZmYDjBmAdYt7T-NVNx7B3cJutoWs

Greg Worthy vs Matt Houston (Wrestle Studs) Rory MacLeod vs Jonny Firestorm (BG East) Jesse Zane vs JJ Allen (Muscle Boy Wrestling) It took almost 7 years to finally reach my 100th recap post. It's a momentous occasion for me anyway. Thanks to all of you who have enjoyed my blog over the years. To celebrate the occasion, I've chosen Firth of Fifth by Genesis as my "song of the week". Most people know Genesis from their pop hits from the 80's and early 90's but are unaware of their progressive rock  albums of the 70's. To be honest, the lyrics have never resonated with me too much, but the instrumental parts are so strong it doesn't matter.  At 3:05 the instrumental break begins. At 4:42 you get an epic synth solo from Tony Banks, with strong support from bassist Mike Rutherford and drummer Phil Collins. At 5:44, guitarist Steve Hackett crafts a melodic solo that goes over 2 minutes. If you're a guitar fan, you'll definitely want to check that ...

Mars vs Cameron: Rookie Wrecker (W4H) Jakob Rawley vs Kirk Donahue (BG East) Jules's Doctor Has Other Plans (Film 911) My "songs of the week" will be devoted to Billy Joel. I saw a tribute concert in my home city this past week and I remembered how many classics he had. Some of my favorites were omitted but overall it was a very good show. Here's my favorite Billy Joel songs... I'll just say Piano Man & Uptown Girl are not amongst my favorites. Yes, they're definitely classics and I understand why they're popular but I think they're a bit overplayed. Prelude / Angry Young Man from Streetlife Serenade I love the energy of this song. I think it's the perfect concert opener. Allentown from The Nylon Curtain I love the story behind this song about people who stayed in Allentown despite the fall of the steel industry. Very sharp lyrics in this one. Every child had a pretty good shot To get at least as far as their old man got But something happene...

Lil' Luke vs Killer Kris (Wrestler4Hire) Johnny enjoys escort Austyn (Film 911) Evan Collins vs Tyler French (88W)  My "song of the week" is You Should Hear How She Talks About You by Melissa Manchester. This song was a US top 5 hit back in 1982, but I rarely hear it these days. I would consider it a lost classic. Steve Lukather (guitar) & Jeff Porcaro (drums) from Toto are also featured on this song. If you like this song, you might want to check out this fan made video, restoring old footage from TopPop.
