Screencap Recap #22

Joey McCoy vs Austin Tyler from Muscleboy Wrestling Travis Storm vs Tyler Reeves from Rock Hard Wrestling Alan Day vs Cole Cassidy from BG East My song of the week is First We Take Manhattan , performed live by Leonard Cohen in 1988. I can't pretend to know what the song is about but it's dark, dramatic and cool as hell. Compare it to the original  video and you'll hear a big difference.

Cole Cassidy stretches Alan Day: A Video (BGE)

Here's a short clip of this match from BG East. This was a great match by the way. Classic heel vs babyface pro wrestling. It's good to see Cole make a comeback at Weekend Wrestling.

Cole Cassidy vs Alan Day (BGE, 2005)

Cute college boy Alan faces sadistic heel Cole in this  match from BG East. Alan bounces around the ring in his varsity jacket for a couple minutes before Cole arrives. Alan and Cole shake hands and Alan kneels in the corner for a prayer, giving Cole an opportunity for a sneak attack. Cole thinks he has Alan beat, but Alan surprises Cole with a small package and takes over. Cole's able to power out of Alan's headscissor and goes on to punish his back for the rest of the match. Alan puts up a good fight but in the end, Cole's size and experience overwhelms him. Alan only appeared on two BG East videos, but if you haven't checked them out I highly recommend them. It's too bad he didn't come back, he had the potential to be a superstar babyface.

Travis Storm vs Tyler Reeves (RHW, 2011)

All-American pretty boy Travis gets his ass kicked in this  match from Rock Hard Wrestling. Tyler gets off to a fast start, taking Travis down and locking him in a Boston Crab. Travis is seemingly defenseless against Tyler's attack. Tyler holds Travis in a sleeper for a while. Tyler chokes Travis on the ropes, but he still has some fight left. Travis makes a couple comebacks but they're only short lived. This is the worst beating Travis ever took. Tyler's strikes are very light but if you can look past that, this is an enjoyable match.
