#104 Learning to Wrestle with Red Redemption (UK Wrestling Hub)

Rookie wrestler Luna gets put through the wringer by Red Redemption in this video from the UK Wrestling Hub. The video begins with Red waiting in the ring. Red is fixing his hair with the reflection from his belt when he suddenly stops in repulsion. "I'm turning into Tim (World)," says Red. "Send in the jobber!" "Is this a wind-up?" Red is annoyed that Luna is wearing similar trunks. Red isn't looking forward to locking up with the rookie. Red scores the first submission with a front facelock / hammerlock combo  "Normally, match over but I'm gonna see how many times I can make you tap," says Red. Red takes pleasure in demonstrating his arsenal of submission holds, while Luna is just a training dummy. The question is, how many times will Luna tap? 18 mins plus trailers - 14.99 GBP. *Regarding my previous post. The last post featuring Matt Engel vs Ethan Andrews is currently one of my worst performing posts ever. Is it because of Matt...

Photo of the Day / State of the Blog

Red Redemption and T-World have played a big part in my blog over the last month. It's been fun being an investigative journalist over the last few weeks. I have to thank Red Redemption for getting the ball rolling. He was the one who suggested I should do interviews in the first place. I'm pretty happy with how my series of interviews went. It seems to have gone over well too. I have some ideas for more interview subjects, but nothing is imminent. I know I've been spinning my wheels and relying a lot on my archive of photos lately, but I'm going to make more of an effort to look at matches I haven't covered yet. Just don't expect me to go into too much detail! (Not that I ever have.) A while back I teased a fantasy match between Reno Gold and Jonathan. I have a finish in mind but I'm not sure how to start it. Maybe I should get around to doing it. Before I go, I'd like to recommend a new underground wrestling blog - Clinches and Quandaries It's al...

An Interview with Red Redemption (UKWH) - Part 2

In Part 1, Red Redemption spoke about his origin as a pro and underground wrestling fan and his emergence at the UK Wrestling Hub. We pick up from here. _____________ You had a falling out with T- World, which led to 4 matches (singles and multi-man). How did it feel winning the UKWH Championship from him?  HE STARTED IT!! It felt so so good, so validating. I'd always dreamed of holding a championship, and you never forget your first. I feel like T-World's personal Karma. He got away with so much for so long, until he met me. Red clearly enjoys punishing T-World. - Match #38 Do you consider T-World your biggest rival at UKWH? Do you want another shot at him now that he's champion again?  Absolutely. He always brings out a different side to me. I feel like our chemistry in the ring just flows so well. Hopefully he's a nicer champion on his second go, and cleans the belt this time around. Red wants another title shot. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical when you turned he...

An Interview with Red Redemption (UKWH) - Part 1

Red Redemption as UKWH Grand Champion - Match #104 Hi, Red. I hope you are well.  Hello!! Let's go back to the very beginning. How did you get into pro wrestling? Who were your favourites when you were becoming a fan?  I was bought up on it, was born about 5 weeks before the Undertaker's debut, so it was always on. I had a goldfish called Ultimate Warrior and a hamster called the Big Boss Man. My favourites were Lita and the Hardy Boyz. Lita is probably my biggest inspiration. Team Xtreme - The Hardy Boyz & Lita When did you realize that you were turned on by pro wrestling? Was there a particular match or moment that stands out?  I know that I liked the guys, but took me a while to realise why. I always resonated with the female superstars, always wanted to watch them more than the others as I enjoyed watching them try and be equal.  Turn-on, probably Randy Orton, and then I found the internet, PWP was my first, then BGEast. Randy Orton, circa 2003  A...
