Superman The Movie: 40th Anniversary

I've expressed my admiration for this movie before, but now as the 40th anniversary is here, I've decided to revisit it by picking out some of my favorite lines. It's not perfect, I find the first half a little sluggish and the humor too campy at times. Still, it's one of the definitive superhero movies.

Glenn Ford (as Jonathan Kent) is only in the movie a short time, but he brings gravity to his role.

Lex Luthor has great banter with his sidekicks, especially Otis.

The rooftop interview is very well written and executed.

Lex Luthor's cuckoo real estate scheme is good fun.

The Kryptonite necklace scene is a fan favorite, so here it is.
