Photo of the Day / A Rant

Honestly, I am feeling a bit low at the moment. I enjoy blogging but it would be nice to get some acknowledgment for my time and effort. The producers may not directly acknowledge me, but I know my influence has spread across the underground wrestling community.

If any producers have issues on how I cover the business, please contact me. I am very easy to find and open to communication.

Some other bloggers have made some veiled criticisms about me and I'll address them now. I am a straightforward person in real life and in blogging. I don't feel the need to write lengthy articles analyzing matches. I just share photos that I get off on, like the one below. If I can get off on a still photo of a match, I usually enjoy the video.

Big Sexy vs Specimen: Custom Video Series 14 (Thunders Arena)

I don't make posts about matches I don't like, I think that's a waste of time and effort. Sometimes I think certain matches could be executed better but unless I feel strongly about it, I won't mention it.

Some people have questioned my morals for featuring Film 911. I don't see what the issue is. Film 911 videos are often driven by domination, just like pro wrestling. They're doing consensual role play, just like pro wrestling.

If anyone has any questions or comments feel free to do so. Thanks for checking out my blog.

  1. I completely understand what you're saying here. I don't understand why people are criticising you. You feature hot pics. And, I understand you feel a lack of acknowledgement. I feel the same about the stuff I do.

    1. Thank you David for your support. David has published several books about the erotic side of pro wrestling. Check out his profile for more info.

Thanks also to the blogger of Piledrive U! for his show of support. It's good to know that my work is appreciated.

  2. Just wanted to throw in my support! There's plenty of room for blogs without lengthy articles--I personally have stopped talking altogether on my own blog. Plus, it says right in the title, "W.R.'s SCREENCAPS," so it's not like anyone can accuse you of false advertising. :) Sexy screencaps that make it easy to get a quick hit of wrestling, and sometimes find wrestlers I haven't seen yet--I think it's great!

    1. P.S. I'm with you 100% on just not talking about stuff you don't like, and not adding more negativity on the internet, when you could be using the time and space on things you DO like.

  3. Thanks for your support, Sean. We all have our own niches. There's no reason for all of the wrestling blogs to be the same. Sometimes I wish I could analyse details more but it's just not my style.

  4. W.R, I’m sorry to read that you’re being criticized. That sucks. I definitely get that validation is definitely key. I feel bad now for not commenting more here since Blogger stopped letting me comment from Safari. I will try to swing by more often whenever I’m in Chrome.

Keep up the good work! I think your approach works great.

  5. Thanks, Alex. To be honest, there are personal issues weighing on me as well and it all came to a head. Don't worry about me, I'll blog again soon.

  6. I've always liked checking out this blog for shots of your favorite match moments/holds. Don't get discouraged if someone is being an ass.
It's not quite the same situation, but I've gotten a handful of angrily worded emails that I don't post enough KSW fantasy fed matches and have been focusing too much on reviews and other topics. It's a ton of work to make, take and edit the photos for each KSW match. It got to a point where the stress from it actually started to creep into my normal day to day routine until I eventually just let it go and started ignoring these type of comments and emails. We blog because it's fun and we want to share our interest with the rest of the underground wrestling community and fans. Just gotta tune out the haters and keep doing what you are doing and enjoy it for you!

  7. Thanks, Mikey. I can see you put a lot of work into your fantasy matches. I'm not the most computer literate so that's why I stick to screen caps. You're right, blogging is supposed to be fun.

    1. Hi, Muscle Lover. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by that. Are you feeling underappreciated or do you think this post is about you? When I wrote this I didn't have you in mind at all. I'm sorry if you took it that way.
