The Leprechaun series follows a formula: Someone finds the Leprechaun's gold and the Leprechaun chases them and tries to kill them. This movie is no exception.

In Leprechaun 3, John Gatins plays Scott. Scott's headed to California to go to college. He's passing through Las Vegas. Scott sees a young lady broken down on the side of the road and stops to help. Her name is Tammy, she's a magician's assistant at "The Lucky Shamrock Casino".

They can't get Tammy's car started so Scott agrees to give Tammy a ride to the Casino. Scott asks Tammy to let him in a side door as he's "underage". Tammy reluctantly agrees. Scott has a big check set aside for college and cashes it to go gamble.

Scott looks around in awe as he walks in the Casino.

Inside joke - Brian Trenchard - Smith was the director of the movie.

Initially, Scott loses everything and goes to a Pawn Shop to pawn off his watch. At the Pawn Shop he finds a gold coin. Scott wishes he was back at the Casino on a winning streak and it comes true. Of course, the gold coin belongs to the Leprechaun and the chase begins.

Scott's winning streak catches everyone's attention, the Leprechaun isn't the only one who's after his lucky gold coin.

As Scott is drawing a bath, a magician named Fazio breaks into Scott's room and finds the coin. Scott notices the noise and comes out to find Fazio.

Fazio knocks down Scott with a punch to the gut and escapes with the coin.

As Scott pulls himself off the ground, the Leprechaun comes into the room and attacks him.

Scott manages to get rid of the Leprechaun temporarily, but the Leprechaun's blood gets into Scott's wound and he's suddenly not feeling well.

Does Scott just go to bed and try to sleep it off? It probably wouldn't make for an interesting movie.
