*I originally made a post about this match back in September 2019, but decided to revisit the match to pay tribute to Bray Wyatt.
Classic babyface Finn Balor gets demolished by "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.
Finn confidently makes his way to the ring, even though he's facing the latest incarnation of Bray Wyatt, "The Fiend".
There's a dramatic pause as we wait for The Fiend to make his way to the ring. Suddenly, the Firefly Fun House theme plays, but that fades into darker music and the lights go out.
The Fiend makes his way down to the ring in darkness, the only light comes a spotlight, his lantern and thousands of cell phones around the arena.
Notice the sign in the background, "HBK is 0/10 in real life" - The match took place in Toronto, Canada. |
The announcers put over Bray's spooky entrance as Finn looks concerned.
After a short stand off, The Fiend manhandles Finn with a headbutt and some stomps.
Finn pulls himself up to a corner but The Fiend delivers a series of blows that leave him dazed.
The Fiend whips Finn towards the opposite corner but Finn evades the charge.
Finn's too spooked by the Fiend to react quickly and gets taken down with a clubbing blow to the back.
The Fiend grabs Finn while he's on his knees and violently wrenches his neck.
The Fiend picks up a helpless Finn and delivers a huge Ura Nage suplex (Rock Bottom).
The Fiend picks up Finn and sets him up for a Sister Abagail (spinning face buster) but Finn slips out and mounts an offensive flurry.
Finn knocks the Fiend down with a dropkick and scales the top rope for his leaping double stomp finisher.
The Fiend catches Finn with a mandible claw and drives him to the mat.
After a short struggle, Finn passes out and The Fiend scores the victory.
