Blake Starr's ripped abs are relentlessly battered in his debut match for 88 Wrestling.
The video begins in typical 88W fashion. Blake's checking himself out in the mirror and getting a pump with a resistance band. Ethan comes in and wants to get on with the wrestling match but Blake's too wrapped up in posing, so Ethan attacks him.
Blake dramatically kicks his legs almost every time he takes a gut shot. It seems like Ethan's been taking some pro wrestling training, as he incorporated more strikes into his offense.
Blake's not completely squashed.
But the video is called Absolute Destruction for a reason.
Blake showed a little more grit and wrestling know-how than he has previously but he was still no match for Ethan. Ethan's the top heel at 88W for now but can anyone challenge him in 2021?
Whatever the case, it's good to see 88 Wrestling back up and running.
Hot Take: I don't think a good portion of underground wrestling fans really like Ethan/Axel. He wrestles at alot of the big name wrestling sites, but I don't think viewers are asking for him, he just shows up. Everytime you see his name in a match, 9/10 you know he's going to win and it's boring. His heel persona also just grates on the nerves, with the smirk, and annoying way of speaking makes him come off as the smart ass no one invited. 88 needs to stop relying on him because he isn't hot, fit, or young; he's old news.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to comment. Personally, I like Ethan and I think he's cute in his own way. I do agree that he's booked too dominantly and his persona could be tweaked a bit but you can't deny his wrestling skills.
DeleteIt's all well and good to be young and hot but you also need someone who can carry a match and Ethan does that better than most, in my opinion.
