Orange Cassidy vs Jeff Jarrett (Mega Post: Part 2)

AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy faces a stiff challenge from Jeff Jarrett and his henchmen.

It's been a match dominated by Jeff Jarrett so far. Every time Cassidy seems to have momentum he gets cut off. Jeff capitalizes on OC's injured knee and sets up the Figure-4 leglock.

Overwhelmed by the pain, Orange struggles to keep his shoulders off the mat.

Notice how much bigger Jeff's thighs are compared to Cassidy's,

Suddenly, Cassidy gets a burst of energy and punches his way out of the Figure-4.

After a little back and forth punch exchange, Jarrett pushes OC into the referee, taking him out.

I think referee Bryce Remsberg was legitimately hurt in this collision. He favored his left eye for the rest of the match.

This gives Sonjay Dutt an opening to slide Jeff his guitar.

Jeff prepares to take a shot at Cassidy but referee Aubrey Edwards comes to the ring to stop him.

While Jeff and Aubrey argue, Orange contemplates using the guitar but Satnam Singh snatches the guitar from him.

Orange feigns that Satnam hit him with the guitar and Aubrey ejects both Satnam and Sonjay from ringside.

It's funny how AEW's referees have the power to eject managers but they can't count to 20 when the wrestlers are outside the ring.

Meanwhile, Orange signals for his finisher, the Orange Punch but Jeff has the other ref distracted.

Suddenly, Jay Lethal appears with a "Golden Globe" award and hits Cassidy with it.

Cassidy seems to be down for the count.

Cassidy kicks out and then his friend Trent Baretta comes to ringside to chase Jay Lethal away.

Cassidy tries for an Orange Punch but his knee gives out, allowing Jeff Jarrett to set up his finisher The Stroke (facebuster).

Cassidy is able to push Jeff off and then hits the Orange Punch to get the win.

Cassidy lays on the mat, catching his breath after a long match.

Post match analysis:

It seems like some fans online were surprised at how good this match turned out. I wasn't. Jeff Jarrett has always been a very savvy and reliable wrestler. It's clear he can still go. Personally, I would've put the strap on him. You could do a lot worse.
